Paul Jones

Paul Jones is a proven entrepreneur, angel and institutional venture capital investor and manager with experience creating and acquiring businesses in diverse technology-driven industries. Currently he Chairs the Venture Best group at Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP where he works primarily with emerging technology-driven companies and their investors.

During his career in Silicon Valley, North Carolina and now Wisconsin, Mr. Jones has played founding and other senior leadership roles in securing more than $150 million of private and public capital for various firms, from small angel rounds through institutional venture capital financings, public offerings and strategic partnerships.

As an institutional investor, he co-founded a venture capital management firm, and led a $26 million capital campaign to support investments in seed and early stage life sciences companies in North Carolina.

Mr. Jones earned his J.D. at the University of Chicago and his MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. From 2008-2011 he served as the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
