Working Capital to Build the Future

Steve Lovisa

Since the internet first became a mainstream medium in the mid-90s, Steve’s career has focused on Interactive Design & Development, Internet Marketing, and Technical Consulting for agencies and corporate clients of all sizes. Along the way, his passion for all-things-web and his interest in all aspects of business led him to work with a number of startup companies, where he developed a strong entrepreneurial interest and found it rewarding to help small companies grow.

In 2005 Steve founded his own agency, Silverline Creative, in Chicago’s western suburbs. Silverline produced award-winning design and development work for its clients and grew steadily until Steve sold the business in 2013 to join his largest client, Red Frog Events.

Red Frog Events is an event production company known for pioneering experiential events like the international Warrior Dash obstacle race series, and the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, which grew to become one of America’s largest music festivals in just three short years. At Red Frog Events, Steve joined the Leadership Team and the Brand Development Team, where he helped shape each of Red Frog’s brands while contributing to the evolution of the company at large. As the VP of Creative Services and Information Technology, Steve also led the Design, Development, and Tech teams at Red Frog. His teams were instrumental in shaping the online presence of Red Frog’s brands, and in creating EventSprout.com, Red Frog’s proprietary online ticketing and registration platform. EventSprout became a successful “startup” of its own, growing quickly in a highly-competitive industry.

In 2016, Steve founded PixelPeople, a new digital agency that leverages his experience in branding, design, and custom website development.

Steve continues to be involved with startup businesses in the Chicago area through his participation in Chicago ArchAngels. Steve also serves as an annual judge for the Web Marketing Association’s International WebAwards, and the Agency Showcase of the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA).
